FIELD
Choreography by Lindy Fines
Created in collaboration with and performed by McCall Atkinson, Katerina Belmatch, Erin Dooley, and Chisato Yanagisawa
FIELD is a choreographic excavation of the body's accumulated histories. Drawing from and unsettling inherited movement vocabularies, the work inhabits the unstable terrain between technique and impulse, repetition and change. As gestures resurface, dissolve, and return, the body carries these histories toward unexpected futures.
dance for no ending
Created and performed by Pamela Pietro and Jesse Zaritt
dance for no ending is an experiment in accumulation and dissolution. We trace, describe, inscribe, erase, observe, fantasize and imprint. Through persistent dancing, we attempt to exhaustively examine, negotiate, dissect, inflate and undermine the movement vocabularies and patterns of effort that produce what we think of as ourselves. We think of this dance as a kind of prayer - if prayer can be understood as a petition to the unknown, an action that makes space for wonder, urgency and bewilderment, radical presence and a joyful abandonment of self.
